People in my immediate family occasionally complain that I'm hard to shop for. Apparently they haven't seen my Amazon wish list yet. Worth noting: this list contains some items I've been hoping to get since May of 2003! I've even changed the shipping address, so that ordered items arrive at my parents' house where I won't necessarily see them!

Oh man, I want Stiff. They talk about it on NPr a lot and it sounds so interesting. Have you heard about her other book, Spook? It's about applying science to afterlife theory. I want it I want it I want it.
I got Found and the Mental Floss book for xmas and they are both very worth it.
BTW, if you are desperate, I have Kiki's Delivery Service on VHS.

There was a preorder deal out for SH3 where you get SH1 free with it awhile ago. It might come up again; keep watching.

Actually, my cousin loaned me Stiff a year ago. It really is fascinating; I keep trying to make references to it in conversations online, and it'd really be easier if I just had the book with me. I'll have to check out those other books; they sound fascinating. And, yeah, I've currently got my friend's copy of Kiki's Delivery Service, also on VHS. I plan to return it after I get my own copy. I need to get the other Miyazaki films on the wishlist, though; I've got Spirited Away, and it's excellent.

I'll have to. I wish there were some way to add SH2 to the wishlist, since that's the one that actually got me interested in the series. Ah, well. That's what I get for letting opportunities pass me by.

Well

The thing with Amazon wishlists is, the more you add to them, the less likely people are to buy older items on the list. At least that's been the case with mine as soon as I reached two pages... The oldest item on mine predates 9/11. =[ Then again, my WL is only shared with family during holidays, so the only way to get everything on it would be not to add any more merchandise on it.

Besides, I own the Xenosaga soundtrack, and it's my least favorite Mitsuda soundtrack. You're better off asking for the Chrono Trigger soundtrack, though given how rare it is, it'll take someone who really loves you to fulfil that one. =P

I have Spirited Away as well. I like that the DVD has the dubed and subtitled versions on it. The difference is interesting. I would really liked Nausicaa and would love to have it, but I wasn't as impressed with Laputa.
Oh, btw, big shocker that you posted more than once in a month!! Who are you and what have you done with [livejournal.com profile] jasonlove?

Yes, well. When I allow myself to post inconsequential fripperies, the words--well, they just come a tumblin' out.

Don't worry, we'll get back to the catatonic silence soon enough, I'm sure.

You know, I hadn't even CONSIDERED adding Chrono Trigger, for exactly that reason. But hell, if I don't at least make it possible to be really really surprised, I'm not ever going to be, am I? And--yeah, I agree Xenosaga is suckalicious. There's a song or two that I really, really want, though.

...

Oh, right. MP3's! Why haven't I been thinking?
