I'm pretty sure I waited too late to call her today; she said on Monday that she'd probably have to baby sit. On the other hand, I guess it's possible that's just an excuse so she doesn't have to hurt my feelings... but I believe very strongly in rejecting that which rejects you, and so sparing my feelings doesn't really do me much good. It just makes things confusing.

Hopefully the tactic isn't too aggressive, but I'd recommend calling her again today to get the story straight. After all, you don't want to lose out over something that wasn't her fault.

There was a friends-locked post that addressed this (among other things). Specifically:

Sure, it's disappointing when plans fall through, but this particular case is probably for the best. There will be other, better opportunities.

Then I guess there's no reason to be upset with either her or yourself. Dispite my sometimes agressive (annoying?) behavior, "Do no harm" is a philosophy I wholeheartedly subscribe to; to the world, to people around you, or to yourself.

And in a sick twist of fate, I actually have an opportunity for a date this weekend, but I shall be turning it down for reasons I'll only get into if you show up on IM sometime.
